Meet the team behind Sage Development Group.
We are a premiere senior housing developer based in Panama City Beach, Florida, however our communities extend across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States, and includes award-winning independent living, assisted living and memory care communities in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Virginia.
CHASE PATEL
Principal & Founder6>
Chase is the President of Sage Development Group. He is involved in multiple areas of Sage’s business including finance, banking, legal, IT and construction management, with a focus on financial operations.
An entrepreneur from an early age and former commercial banker, Chase utilizes his business, financial analytical skills and accounting experience to identify, analyze and evaluate partnership opportunities; project and track project and company financial performance; manage lender and owner relationships; and oversee accounting controls, financing, cash management and tax reporting. He has been instrumental in implementing systems that have helped Sage optimize its business results.
Chase is a graduate of the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance.
HARRY PATEL
Principal & Founder6>
As Senior Vice President of Development at Sage Development Group, Harry directs all aspects of development projects. Harry is a quality-oriented developer with a keen ability to identify profitable business opportunities. His visionary market instincts, along with his vast experience in real estate development and international business, are what led him to form Sage and begin developing Senior Housing Facilities.
Harry’s role includes involvement in nearly every area of development services including sourcing, site identification and project analysis; strategic development program planning; wetland mitigation, environmental permitting and land development; construction management; growth and expansion of mature projects; and partner relationships. Harry’s oversight in these areas has been a key to Sage’s profitability and success, since its inception.
JAY PATEL
Principal & Founder6>
Jay is Senior Vice President of Construction at Sage Development Group. A deeply experienced developer driven by a desire to set new standards of excellence, Jay has successfully guided many thriving real estate developments through acquisition, wetland permitting and construction, including demolitions and redevelopment. Jay’s extensive experience also includes managing relationships between municipalities, owners, financial institutions and contractors.
At Sage, Jay is responsible for managing many of the details throughout the development process including in the areas of project planning; land entitlement; permitting; architectural design and engineering; and construction management including planning, coordination and supervision of sub-contractor relationships, contract negotiations, construction scheduling, safety compliance, and project delivery.
DON BISHOP
Principal & Founder6>
As Senior Vice President of Planning and Finance for Sage Development Group, Don’s many years of experience in senior housing have been an invaluable asset for the firm. Don’s primary expertise is in the area of market evaluation, using broad-based economic, demographic and service utilization databases to identify, analyze and describe trends in the healthcare industry. This information helps guide the evaluation of prospective market and development opportunities.
Don is a founding member and CEO of SRI Management, LLC, a key partner of Sage Development Group. SRI Management has been in the seniors housing industry since 2000 and provides comprehensive management services for senior housing projects throughout the eastern United States including independent living, assisted living, and memory care facilities. As CEO, Don plays a key strategic role for the company, and also has managerial responsibility for development and operations.
Over his 20-year career, Don has managed and operated over 50 senior housing communities and more than 4,500 units throughout the southeast, including over 25 ground-up developments. Working with his team, Don has assisted owners and developers in sales transactions, financing, refinancing, and acquisitions. Don is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Economics.
ROBERT WHITE
Senior Vice President of Development6>
Robert oversees all development projects within Sage Development Group’s real estate portfolio.
With a career spanning more than 25 years, he has experience in design coordination, construction management, and real estate development that includes multimillion-dollar projects in real estate development, redevelopment, and tenant improvement.
Robert has an unparalleled history of managing teams to successfully complete large capital projects, and works collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors to plan, design, develop and construct building projects for Sage Development Group’s valued clients.
He is committed to maintaining Sage Development Group’s quality construction standards through continuous process improvement.
Not only is Robert a graduate of the University of South Alabama, but he is also a certified general and utility contractor.
APRIL REGISTER
Senior Project Coordinator6>
April's role is to coordinate projects from inception and design phase to completion, as well as assisting in plan coordination, marketing material, budget, and accounting. She has a strong background in business management, accounting, and human relations.
Prior to joining Sage Development Group, she managed a commercial construction company and has more than 16 years of office management experience and over 20 years of residential and commercial construction.
When she is not working, you can find April outdoors exploring, gardening, fishing, and hiking with her family, grandchildren, and dog. Volunteering is a passion, and she volunteers with various nonprofit organizations and her local school district. She enjoys being able to utilize her strengths in business to better her community.
